Captain Brennan and crew-

My family had such a great trip on the Four Winds II in Maui (March 3 morning trip). I just wanted to say thank you for the friendly, great, wonderful crew and the awesome Capt. John. The Captain went out of his way to show everyone the whales which was totally incredible despite the very windy and rough conditions.
Our two year old son and his grandparents, who did not go in the water, had lots of fun watching the fish and the people snorkeling from the glassbottom. Even though they don’t snorkel the experience was totally wonderful and they would go again.
Thanks!! or as you say in Hawaii “Mahalo”,
Serena Childs
We went on the afternoon trip on 1/7/10 and had a great time! The food was terrific and the crew was super friendly and professional. We really enjoyed ourselves, thanks for a great trip!

We have snorkeled on the Four Winds II 3 times. The staff is always friendly to the kids. We highly recommend the trip it is always a highlight of our vacation each time we visit Maui. The snorkeling is exceptional and the whale and turtle watching is a great bonus.

| Hello from snowy Calgary, Alberta! It is hard to believe we were enjoying such warm sun & beaches last week and are digging out of snow drifts this week.
I just wanted to thank the crew who took such GREAT care of us on December 2nd. Captain Dan was especially friendly to our son Jackson, who had a fabulous time! We all enjoyed the boat, the bbq lunch was fantastic, and of course the snorkeling at Molokini was the best! Mahalo and have a wonderful Christmas, Michelle |
| I want to thank you again for an absolutely amazing time on the Maui Magic this past September. Never before have we gone on a day trip and felt like such a part of the family. The love you have for what you do, and the ocean and jewels of the ocean come shining through. We still think of you - in fact - we down right miss you! If you are ever out California way in the winter and would like to visit us up at Kirkwood for some skiing - please email us! I am trying to provide a review for you with Trip Advisors - haven’t gotten it through yet - but I am trying. Your photo of us may very well end up on the front of a Christmas card this year - good job! Regards, |
While visiting Maui with my wife and son recently we had the joy of snorkeling with Four Winds II. I would like to compliment your entire crew on the excellent service provided. From booking our excursion to the Captain, crew and cook all did an excellent job. Thanks for doing a great job and enhancing our visit to your island.

It’s been a week since we went on the Molokini Snorkel trip and we’re still talking about it! The trip was better than any of us envisioned. The boat trip was spectacular, the food was terrific but it really was the crew that made the day so awesome, from Zach the photographer to Marcella teaching Snuba, the entire staff saw to everyone’s every need. When we get back to Maui we’ll absolutely be back on board the Four Winds II!

I am so glad that we saved our Molokini snorkel for our last full day in Maui because nothing else we did compared to the fun we had aboard the Four Winds II. The staff was like a well oiled machine. They were fun, entertaining and excellent at their jobs. We have been on other snorkeling trips before but this far exceeded all of our expectations. From the snorkeling to the snuba to the food, it was all perfect. We loved being able to purchase the Video and Photo DVD’s of our day, also. We will cherish them and our memories of our day for a lifetime. Thank you to all of your staff for an amazing experience.

My boyfriend and I visited the Maui Magic on Sat, 6/13. Booking this trip was a total fluke, I saw one of their fliers at a dinner show and was intrigued by the brochure. The Maui Magic offered: dolphin sightings, 2 snorkling visits (one of them at Molokini, which I had heard wonderful things about), a waterslide, plus breakfast and a barbecue lunch with unlimited beverages (including beer and wine). Sounds like a fantastic day to me. After speaking with an employee on the phone, I excitedly booked our reservations and I am SO happy I did. Spending the day on the Maui Magic was our last day of vacation, and I am thrilled with the way it turned out. It was a perfect ending to a fantastic Maui vacation.
Our boat trip started out perfectly, with a warm aloha greeting and a nice continental breakfast spread. (fruit with bagels and cream cheese). The crew of the Maui Magic is fantastic, and they really cater to you and your needs. Katie was always asking us what we needed, or if she could clear anything away for us. It was a real treat to be so spoiled! The trip starts off with a dual conch shell blowing, plus a blessing in Hawaiian. Our excursion was SO LUCKY! We ended up seeing dolphins 3 different times. Two bottlenose dolphins greeted us early on. The dolphins swam with the boat, getting “scratched” by the boat on their backs and bellies. What’s awesome is that the passengers get to lay out on the bow of the boat to watch. It was truly amazing to witness these wonderful creatures up so close. Shortly after that, we saw another pod of spinner dolphins. That pod had a white dolphin in it, which is something I had never seen before… AMAZING!! Even one of the crew exclaimed that he’d never seen a white dolphin before. The dolphins swam with us for awhile, and gave us a show - doing their flips and spins. A short while later we rejoined the second pod, and they had brought along even more of their friends. There must have been 15-20 spinner dolphins (including the white one!) swimming around our boat! There are just no words for how fantastic and wonderful the morning was.
After we saw the dolphins, we hit our first snorkle spot. All of the snorkle equipment is provided, plus they have flotation devices and wet suits for rent ($5). You can also try snuba for an extra $50. To be fair, the first spot we stopped at the water was a little choppy and the visability wasn’t that great. I didn’t spend very much time in the water. The highlight of this spot was seeing a HUGE turtle on the ocean floor. Obviously the water conditions were not the Maui Magic’s fault. Molokini, on the other hand, was spectacular. The water was crystal blue and even from the boat you could see all the way to the ocean floor. Heck, from the boat you could see tons of huge fishes swimming around. No need to even go in the water! But, I definitely recommend getting into the water! At the coral reef, the fish were amazing! There were tons of colorful fish of all shapes and sizes… I saw rainbow fish, reddish fish, stripped fish, yellow fish, etc. Plus many more in between. If you go to Molokini, spend most of your time by the reef… that is where all the action is. What’s neat is that a lot of the big (although not as interesting) fish hang out by the boat. You can literally have fish swimming around right in front of your face. It was a really neat experience. I’m surprised by the review below mine; I saw a ton of fish, and a lot of different variety.
So all in all, I know every snorkle trip is going to be different, depending on the weather and wild life. (One of our snorkle excursions was cancelled earlier in the week due to ocean conditions. You kind of have to be flexibile - you can’t custom order nature!) I can say that I had a fantastic day on the Maui Magic. I would definitely recommend this company. It’s well worth the cost, and a very fun way to spend a day in Maui. The crew was fantastic and the boat was a lot of fun. The true draw for me though, was definitely the dolphins and fish!
